I had a blog for many years, in what it feels like it was a whole lifetime ago. When the platform it was hosted on shut down in 2012, years of naive observations vanished from one day to the other. Perhaps for the best.

Only the name 'sushibarista' survived to these days, as the love for all things japanese got rooted early - I blame early 90s italian TV-broadcasters for it. (Here is the odd story of why.)

In the past year, I have been gathering topics I'd like to write about. They span from existential questions of what is the meaning of creativity, to my dislike for the word 'nervous system' and raging comment to all the posts I'm getting on my instagram feed that are trying really hard to tell me I'm aging and aging is indisputably, undeniably and unescapably terrible. I also have quotes by Ted Lasso and Jamie Tartt, recipes and jokes, as life is not all that serious all the time or at least it shouldn't be. Anyway. Here is to the start of something. This something might contain italian paragraphs and english typos: but at least you'll know it was this very flawed human who wrote it. Isn't that already something.
